Trade links with other bloggers, comment on other blogs as much as you can

Honestly, other bloggers are the only loyal people in the blogosphere lol! You can also have multiple blogs on different hosts (that will increase links to your site) or you can whore yourself out to alot of blogs and be on everyone's blog roll (doesn't guarantee hits though) What I found most effective is submitting to blog "carnivals" where people take the best things from the web and put them on one page. If it's a great compilation everyone who reads that blog will link back to you!
