- What Connects You to the Fashion Industry?
- I am Jamilia from North London. I design knitwear and create everything by hand. I started knitting aged 10. I taught myself because I am left-handed and was told it was not possible to knit. I strugled with books written for the right-handed and the results are what you see after almost 30 years of experience.
What is my Collection?
I was also inspired to make clothing for the larger lady and to make my knitwear, playful, colorful and attractive. My range of fashion knitwear sizes start at small and goes to extra large.
My Wool
I choose only the wool I want to work with and that means buying up unique wool from British suppliers. Mohair is a wonderful material and the colors I select for each garment are distinctive. You will look original and might provoke some envy!
