I opened my
Bonanzle booth last week. Bonanzle is big news these days, I guess. (I have to get all my big news from my husband, who is actually in tune with the outside world... I am in my own world of children and design!!)
I hear it is growing exponentially. That's good. I also hear it encourages buyer/seller interaction, another plus in…

I've recently added a "sets" category to my online store,
Boutique Baby & Toddler Girls' Clothes by Pixyworld. It will be interesting to see whether customers prefer to shop the traditional boutique outfits/sets way, rather than the mix & match piece-by-piece shopping popularized by Baby Gap & Gymboree.
I can certainly see the pros and cons of…

waterproof zipper has been hot for a few seasons. but, can someone please educate us on why they would need waterproof zippers on a cotton hoodie? water won’t zip through the zippers for sure, but the only problem is that the cotton fleece would be soaping wet.
blindly following a trend without even trying to understand why is a sin. style without substance is a waterproof zipper without reason; DON”T DO…

I've been designing and making jewelry since I was a kid. About a year and a half ago I decided to really give it a go and find out whether this was something I could turn into a business. When you live, breathe and sleep jewelry it just seems to be the most natural thing in the world that you should make a living from it.
Since then, I've had the odd bit of industry recognition, and have worked on fashion shows and shoots, getting my designs out there into the fashion world and working on…

MissMi, an international project that features self-portraits of girls from over 30 countries wearing items from Mirit Weinstock collections. The girls have complete artistic freedom in creating their self-portraits. Each uses this cooperation to express herself, her world, her culture and her fantasies.
The inspiration for the MissMi project comes from experiencing the world of the internet and realizing that living in it and creating in it allows us to expose ourselves and to…

The Grammy aired tonight. So many fashions, so many mistakes, so entertaining. First, I loved Jennifer Hudson's outfit. It was just right - not overly dressed and not underdressed.
As for guys, Justin Timberlake and John Mayer's outfits were perfect for their body type. Tall and slender, so the tux were perfectly form fitting.
Not much else to say -- just wanted to share my thoughts.

with all the cancellations on the fall ‘09 shows next week, and viktor & rolf producing an online show last season. we really don’t understand why they don’t produce online shows. one word: technophobia.
we can understand why fashion editors don’t like this format; online shows lessen the ‘importance’ and the elitism of the fashion bubble world. but everyone else would embrace it. what is not to love when you know anna wintor would…

We all know that there are good ties, and then there are the god awful ties that we make fun of. I'm not quite sure where these fit in. They definitely aren't good - as in hermes ties good. And they may be god awful, but they are also really funny in that 'I'm laughing at you and with you" way.
What are your thoughts?
I personally cannot stand the tetris tie, that one only has "laughing at you" qualities. I mean it looks like something Screech would wear on Saved by the…

Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14 by many people throughout the world. In the West, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, flowers, or delicious chocolates. In a sea of Valentine’s Day promotions and gifts available – how do you choose which gift to give, especially with today’s economy?
I, for one, believe that…

To quote BUZZFEED "PETA is going to flip".

I can't seem to find the designer, but clearly somebody thought this was a good idea. It is also clear that said person was under the influence some sort of new heavy duty mind altering hallucinogenic substance.
