Elle MacPherson certainly has the right idea when it comes to Flats with a gown....the look is very appealing. The thing is, it has to be just the right flat; I find that jeweled sandals are always a perfect choice. A few seasons ago, I purchased a pair of Kate Spade, fuchsia, satin sandals which were adorned with a huge rhinestone dragonfly.....best described as elegant yet whimsical. I wore those sandals with many a dress in a variety of colors. I actually wore them so much, that I had to get…

Legendary singer and style icon, Diana Ross is one of my "favorite ladies." As the pictures here attest, she's just as lovely as she is stylish. Her chic fashions certainly elicit a little "closet envy." I wonder if has a special room in her home filled with all of the fabulous pieces that she's worn over the years. If so, I'm sure that there's a fascinating story associated with each. She always lends a certain "flourish" to anything that she wears, making it instantly appealing. I would love…

Natalie Massenet, the Founder of Net-A-Porter is featured in the current issue of Vogue U.S. The article states that she just recently sold her shares in the company to The Richemont Luxury Group, who owns Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels, Chloe and Dunhill. She received $76 million which is a hell of a return on an initial investment of $1.2 million! While many a businessman gave a gloomy prediction, Natalie managed to turn her E-commerce idea into one of the most successful businesses to date.…

This is absolutely one of the most chic group of ladies that I've featured in quite some time! They've taken, in some cases, the latest trends and worked them into their own interpretations of style....I love that! It's always fascinating to get a peek at what women around the world are wearing. I can only imagine what must be contained in their closets!
Perfection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

On June 7, Iman will be honored by the CFDA for being a fashion icon. Last week, the supermodel got a head start on the celebrations with a luncheon at Barneys New York.
Iman’s husband, David Bowie, was not at all surprised when he heard his wife was being recognized for her style. “I think she’s always retained her sense of elegance, whatever she…

I read an article on vogue.com which indicates that the "reign" of the gladiator sandal is over (probably wishful thinking, as I know that many people are not fond of them). Well, I beg to differ. As an avid gladiator sandal lover and owner of several pair, I was distressed (not literally), to say the least, after reading that "kooky talk" (lol!) The article basically said that, the gladiator is losing it's luster in favor of "the graphic sandal." The graphic sandal examples were those such as…

I was inspired to do this feature, about some of my favorite ladies of the 60's and 70's, after watching an episode of the 1968 series, "To Catch A Thief", which starred a very young and handsome Robert Wagner. In one of the first scenes, the gorgeous Suzanne Pleshette appears on the screen, seated in a plane, wearing a leopard hat and matching coat.....what a vision! The scene changes and she appears in a colorful Pucci-type dress with a matching hat (as I think about it....the outfit could…
