These editorial is suspended in a gymnastic freeze, a timeless performance yet to happen. The interesting oxymoron is in the tensional rest, the symbolic nonsense, the body exhibited in its sculptural perfection, but abandoned by every erotic force. This is a nordic expression of desire and lust. An olympic void where gods have been replaced by dead, beautiful, angels.
Fashion photography is always looking for a different finish, that particular touch that makes a picture something not only worth seeing but eye-gluing. The finnish Varumo, I believe, is one serious option.
