For as long as I have been truly enthused about fashion (about age 8) I have noticed the dozens of retail stores and (in this decade) websites who consistently market "holiday collections". Despite other trends that may be flourishing, the holiday garb is pretty much the same every year: Glitzyish dresses, lurex shirts and some pretty things made of satin which simply get more attention around Winter time. One can understand why department stores would use the holiday label to get more glee out of their mass-market customer. We, as fashion insiders, know better.
Here's a few non holiday-labeled cold weather items to get now,
before Thanksgiving.
